For a PhD student:

– CV

  •  Name
  • Current work address
  • DOB, nationality, citizenship
  • Education (Bachelor/Diploma/Master awarded in/when)
  • Prizes and honours received
  • List of publications (if applicable)

– Synopsis of past work (if applicable)

  • Research experience: i.e. Bachelor/Diploma/Master/PhD project

– Outline of planned research project

  • Project title
  • Research summary (2000 characters, including spaces)
  • Keywords (5)
  • EMBO Subject areas 1 and 2
  • Proposed start date (or actual start date)
  • 2-page description of planned research

– At least one letter of reference (to be submitted via the online application form). This can be from the current and/or a former supervisor.

– Information about the host lab:

  • Supervisor name and address
  • 5 recent publications from the supervisor
  • Link to website and/or summary of research projects in the lab
  • Short description of the institute
  • Confirmation by the institute to host the applicant and manage the grant.

For a postdoc:

– CV

  • Name
  • Work address
  • DOB, nationality, citizenship
  • Education (Masters/Diploma and PhD awarded in/when)
  • Prizes and honours received
  • List of publications

– Synopsis of past work
