EMBO Installation Grants offer benefits not only to talented scientists but also to the countries where they establish laboratories. The governments of five countries – Czech Republic, Estonia, Poland, Portugal and Turkey – participate in EMBO Installation Grants to help scientists relocate and set up research laboratories. The aim is to support the development of the local research cultures and infrastructures.

Installation Grantees join the vibrant network of more than 200 EMBO Young Investigators, thereby connecting and integrating grantees into the European scientific community.
