EMBO and The Company of Biologists fund workshops, practical and lecture courses in Brazil, Canada, China, Japan, Mexico, and South Korea. 

Organizers can be of any nationality and be based in any country in the world. The scientific organizing committee must be geographically diverse and come from more than one institute representing the topics covered in the meeting.

Applications have to be submitted online by 1 March or 1 August for courses and workshops planned for the following year through the EMBO online application system.  

Organizers are advised to contact the EMBO office to discuss their proposal at least 4 weeks before the application deadline, especially if they are applying for an EMBO | The Company of Biologists Course or Workshop for the first time: .
