To promote inclusive participation, EMBO provides additional funding to help cover childcare expenses for participants and speakers attending EMBO-funded meetings— attending in person, hybrid or virtual EMBO-funded meetings. This initiative applies to participants in all countries and aims to reduce barriers for caregivers participating in EMBO events.

Participants should indicate their childcare needs and associated costs when registering for an EMBO Course or Workshop. The Courses & Workshops office at EMBO does not handle childcare grant requests. Allocation decisions are made by the meeting organizers, who are the contact point for any related enquiries.

Please note that we do NOT offer childcare grants to participants of meetings that are not funded by EMBO.
