All applications are reviewed by the EMBO Fellowship Office to verify completeness and eligibility. Applicants will receive an email acknowledgment once a complete application has been received. If you don’t receive an acknowledgement from the Fellowship Office within 2 weeks of submission of an application, please contact the office.
Applications are judged on the following criteria:
- CV of the candidate and research experience.
- Quality of the proposed project to be conducted in the host laboratory, including its novelty and feasibility.
- The suitability of the host laboratory for the proposed work.
- Benefit of the exchange for the home laboratory.
Applicants will be informed when a decision is reached which is normally within three to four months from submission of a complete application.
