Travel grants

A limited number of travel grants are available for eligible participants who are selected to attend EMBO Practical Courses, EMBO | FEBS Lecture Courses, ESF | EMBO Symposia, EMBO | EMBL Symposia and selected other EMBO events, including The EMBO Meeting.



In addition, there are travel grants available for participants from Italy, and linked to the cooperation agreements with Singapore, and with the National Science Council of Taiwan.

EMBO Practical Courses and selected EMBO Workshops and EMBO Conferences
Applicants do not need to apply separately for travel grants for these events. Selection of awardees is handled directly by the organizer who will notify all eligible participants.



The aim of these grants is to facilitate the participation of those coming from labs located in countries in need of scientific strengthening (whether located within Europe or internationally). Priority is given to selected participants from: Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa and Turkey.



These grants are designed to cover travel (Apex / Economy) to attend the meeting. Visa costs, accommodation and subsistence will not be covered by these funds.

EMBO | FEBS Lecture Courses
There are Youth Travel Fellowships available to attend joint EMBO | FEBS Lecture Courses. Further guidelines are available on the FEBS website.

ESF | EMBO Symposia
There are travel grants and registration fee waivers available to attend joint ESF | EMBO Symposia.
