The EMBO Lecture Courses scheme provides funding for lecture courses to train PhD students and postdoctoral researchers in Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Poland, Slovenia, and Turkey.
The courses address a defined topic in the life sciences. They provide participants with background and underlying concepts, thereby making the topic accessible to scientists with diverse scientific backgrounds.
The lecture courses can include up to 120 participants and last between three and ten days to provide sufficient time for discussion groups, poster sessions and journal clubs.
The courses must take place in the countries listed above, organizers can be from anywhere.
The application deadline for lecture courses in 2023 is 1 August 2022.
