Overview

EMBO promotes scientific interaction between Europe and the rest of the world. Its training opportunities are open to scientists worldwide.EMBO sponsors practical courses and workshops held outside of Europe. These meetings strengthen links between the research communities in Europe and the countries concerned, and promote global scientific exellence. EMBO Fellowships promote mobility and exchange on a European and international level.

World Practical Courses

Practical courses enable students from around the world to interact and learn new methods together. The focus of these meetings is on cutting-edge techniques and usually up to 20 scientists participate.

World Lecture Courses

Lecture Courses cater for students at an early stage of their career by providing them with up-to date information on a range of diverse topics. Up to 100 students can participate in these meetings where they have the opportunity to meet experts in their field and develop contacts with fellow scientists from other geographical areas.
