Scientists benefit from learning effective techniques to communicate science to journalists and non-scientific audiences. EMBO Science Communications Workshops, held at scientific meetings and research institutes, allow participants to learn to communicate their science to a lay audience, how the media work and how to identify key concepts from research that will appeal to journalists.
