EMBO European Molecular Biology Organization

EMBO reports   publishes high quality scientific research of broad interest and biological significance in all areas of molecular biology. EMBO reports also features expert reviews content from leading researchers that is accessible to both specialist and non-specialist readers, as well as editorial content that offers insight into the broader issues affecting science and society. This diverse range of article types ensures that EMBO reports publishes both important scientific research and insightful commentary from a distinct perspective not found in other publications.

EMBO reports has rapidly become recognized as a unique and valuable contribution to the scientific literature. Since January 2003, EMBO reports has been published by Nature Publishing Group (NPG), bringing increased visibility to the journal.

Divided into three sections, it is designed to inform not only the molecular biologist, but also those interested in the current dialogue on the relationship between science and society.

The Science & Society section features essays and articles on topics beyond the realms of scientific research. The articles provide commentary and analysis on the impact of politics, industry, finance and society on the environment in which scientific research is carried out – as well as considering the consequences of biological research for society.
