EMBO welcomes 50 new members
2007 EMBO Members

In November 2007, EMBO announced the election of 50 leading scientists to its membership. Over 1,300 of the world’s finest researchers carry the title of “EMBO Member” and every year, new members are elected on the basis of scientific excellence. The latest scientists to join the EMBO community come from a broad cross-section of the molecular life sciences. Representing 16 different countries, 42 of the new members are based in Europe and neighbouring countries, while eight distinguished scientists, from Australia, India and the USA, receive the special honour of associate membership.
