EMBO Courses, Workshops & Conference Series
The European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) and the Federation of European Biochemical Societies (FEBS) will support 3-5 annual Joint Lecture Courses on relevant, timely scientific topics in biochemistry, molecular biology and related areas such as systems biology. The Joint EMBO-FEBS Lecture Courses intend to provide students and postdoctoral fellows with opportunities for career development and mentoring by meeting experts in their fields. Courses can be organised in any of the EMBC (European Molecular Biology Conference) member states or any country of a FEBS constituent society. Organisers are encouraged to promote a balanced male:female representation when selecting participants as well as include science & society issues in the course programmes if possible or applicable. Since the focus is on training, lecturers should also deliver introductory lectures followed by state-of-the-art scientific talks. Joint lecture courses may host a limited number of lecturers (18-24), who should strongly interact with students (up to 120) in poster sessions, oral presentations, round-table discussions and tutorials. Furthermore, EMBO may provide additional funds to support (if applicable):
