EMBO Council and Committees
The EMBO Council is the foundation stone of the organisation; it ensures that EMBO actions are in keeping with the membership’s needs and expectations. Council opinion is of major significance and no final decisions on EMBO activities are made without its consultation and guidance. The Council provides a forum to advise and exchange views on major topics or new initiatives resulting from management or committee discussions and also generates new ideas itself. Council deliberations and recommendations are implemented in accordance with the EMBO Committees. The next nomination deadline for ordinary and associate membership is 1 December 2008.
